In mid-February, will be held 32nd annual Miami Yacht Show. More than 400 yachts and superyachts are getting ready for the attention of the audience. This year’s One Herald Plaza will bring together some 32,000 visitors from all over the world.
The exhibition will include more than 200 exhibitors demonstrating the latest marine accessories, as well as 15 new yachts at the exhibition, including the debut in the USA of the 85-meter yacht SilverYachts Bold, Riviera Yachts, Horizon Yachts, Invictus Yachts and Majesty Yachts.
85-meter SilverYachts superyacht Bold.
The Bold super-yacht is the largest high-speed and efficient motor shipyard project and the result of a collaboration with the designer Espen Oeino.
The same studio developed the Bold naval architecture and worked with SSPA from Sweden to create the most efficient installation. Decor experts at Sabrina Monte-Carlo were selected to work on the design of the interior and exterior deck of the yacht.
Yacht benefits include an increase in internal volume due to a longer waterline, as well as a decrease in drag, resulting in a higher maximum speed. Bold is equipped with two compact MTU engines each, which reaches a speed of 24 knots. The huge aft main deck with folding handrails and hydraulic folding legs includes an approved helipad.
Tested during her first voyage, Bold’s hydrodynamics was designed for high-speed long-haul flights. Power to achieve this is provided by two compact engines MTU 16V 4000 M73L, each of which develops a power of 2880 kW.
The SUV 505 includes a main cabin, a separate bathroom and a dressing room, and is equipped with two guest cabins. And, of course, there is a Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit navigation system, as well as a smooth and economical performance of two Volvo Penta IPS turbodiesels with a lightweight joystick.
Six new Horizon luxury yachts also were unveiled this year, ranging from the PC65 power catamaran to the debuting FD102, including the FD75, FD80, FD87 and RP100 motor yachts.
FD75 Horizon yacht.
The FD75 itself is an outstanding achievement in terms of design and naval architecture. The FD75 has a raised wheelhouse design, includes a fully functional main deck cabin equipped with a bathroom and walk-in closets, two or three spacious cabins on the lower deck. An undoubted advantage is the beach club located aft.
