Longtime Spur Tony Parker recently became a luxury “superyacht” owner.
AvA Yachts, a Turkey-based boat builder, said Parker, who is currently playing his first season with the Charlotte Hornets, ordered the second hull of the company’s Kando series.
The custom yacht company said before Parker decided, he put them through a “an intense and rigorous selection procedure” which included three visits to the Antalya shipyard with his captain, crew and purveyor.
“To have a world-famous celebrity like Mr. Parker demonstrate his confidence at such an early stage of the development of the Kando series has made us immensely proud and we will deliver a yacht that will surpass all his expectations,” AvA Yachts’ Chairman and Founder Atilla Kucukdiker said in a news release.
